This piece is both a reminder and a call to action. A reminder that we must not fall victim to the indifference and apathy which capitalism attempts to instill in us. As well as a call to all Peoples to take action: read, seek community, organize. “The boot” can be representative of a variety of systems of oppression, though it’s important to understand that all these systems–racism, zionism, sexism, homophobia, etc– are interrelated and work to maintain capitalism. Just as these systems are interrelated, our liberation from them is interrelated. No one is free until we are all free, so we must rise.
